13 | Lucky Number
The number 13 is considered unlucky because there were 13 people,
Christ and the 12 Apostles, present at the Last Supper. In some countries,
it's still considered unlucky to have 13 people at a table.
There's even a name for the fear of the number 13, Triskaidekaphobia
(from Greek tris meaning "3", kai meaning "and", deka meaning "10" and phobia
meaning "fear" or "morbid fear") is fear of the number 13; it is a superstition
and related to a specific fear of Friday the 13th. called paraskevidekatriaphobia
or friaaatriskaidekaphobia. Italy is a country where 13 is believed to be a lucky number.
