s.l.i.p. | Unexpected Outcome SERIALE
SERIALE is an integral part of the Unexpected Outcome project, conceived as a collection of images, printed in A3 format in a numbered series, held in a customized container.
[…] I like everything that is given as a serial process, i.e., a continuous variation of the content in a fixed form. I am referring to comics, detective novels, soccer or baseball (and every kind of game),
to blues, rock 'n' roll. Even cinema, obviously. I like the idea of freedom that only a serial variation can communicate, when within a rigid form and its rules we can test every possible variation, exploiting the entire field of action granted, up to the extreme limit, and then obviously
overcome it.
Wim WENDERS | The Act of Seeing – Essays and Conversations | faber and faber 1997
Slight mutations, imperceptible randomness
caught like words carried by water
A new form, a change
abstract becoming
A touch, a trace, a trail
Through thin eyelids
we observe the matter aggregating
in a succession of events
Serial sequences, crumbs of the same sound
